you were a hornet
with dossiers and studies backing what you perceived
absolute truth
i was a bumblebee
with an opinion and a knack for gardening
tired of getting stung
one day i amped up my arguments
pollinated by emotions
faced the needle and refused
to back down

their opinions
dragged on inside her skull for years
carrying the tune until
one forlorn day
she picked up a despondent note
by the handle
stuck it with ultra tons
of glitter and glue
crafted an off key
to unlock her super
future
#katyamills
dawn
coffee and
classical music
i must be thoughtless
dreaming
for worlds come
into view
