she ran downstairs
flush with emotion and hid with a plushy under a blanket. the double digits of siblings counted off one short. they ran around crazy searching for her. the youngest hollered out I found her! I found her! all ran downstairs scared. blanket pull. tears of relentless joy

compassion was an antidote to the misgivings she had about the world

the hopeful stain 

the persimmon intensity of the hour

dissipated as the stuff wore off

broken amps and glass and thoughts 

a river carried all the debris away

from the scene

you would be lucky to have a friend 

wrecked and dirty. looking to score

by your side

they awoke battered by terrors 

a humming heartbeat of a creature

by one eye vigilant of anything

moves speaks  

coffee before work

let the emotions run through the grinds

summoning any god to

get them through
